I am a seasoned business professional with an extensive history of managing and supporting the accounting departments of organizations of various sizes. The tasks inherent in the accounting process are more than just number crunching; they represent the organization’s vitality and, ultimately, the livelihood of its employees, stakeholders, and leaders. I am fascinated by the fact that every organization, regardless of size or reach, can only operate with the inclusion of a well-managed accounting department. Thus, I have dedicated my professional career to interpreting, analyzing, and applying an organization’s financial protocols and processes to improve and maintain the company’s overall health.
I enjoyed working in staff and consultant capacities at Verizon, American Express, and the Philadelphia Inquirer early in my career. These positions were crucial in developing my knowledge of AR/AP, P&L, Treasury Management, and Internal Consulting practices. These experiences served as launching points for my progression in the world of numbers and allowed me to work for a major marketing firm in several positions, which honed my supervisory, project management, and client profitability skill sets. My current position as a management consultant has allowed me to bring my education, experience, and expertise full circle in a way that confirms the verity of the adage, “Accounting is the language of business.”
Lastly, I believe in giving back to your community by utilizing your talents to help those around you. It fosters a sense of connection and support, empowers individuals, and enriches the community’s collective well-being.
